Continental Types has completed another raid, ahead of the curve… congratulations guys & gals!
Looking back, Siege of Orgrimmar was a decent raid, none of the encounters really stand out one way or another. The raid ramped up better than others in recent memory, and it was paced decently, however, with fourteen bosses we would have preferred it be less linear. We didn’t spend a terrible amount of time on any one boss; Galakras and Thok stand out as the biggest roadblocks, but once Thok fell the rest of the raid moved pretty fast culminating in a slightly underwhelming Garrosh encounter.
The core of Continental Types has been with us for a while now, and we continue to enjoy getting closer over time and raiding with one another. We lost some friends along the way due to real world commitments, but gained some great new friends as well.
Warlords of Draenor sounds promising, as Blizzard is planning sweeping quality-of-life enhancements to the game, some of which will make raiding even more enjoyable like scalable raid groups and the ability to raid with friends on other realms. Until the expansion arrives, we will continue farming (for now), work on some achievements, and contemplate tackling heroic content.
